What was Beautiful and Good, by Jill Blocker

A novel about the origins of the DADA art movement.

A young singer’s ‘joie de vivre’ is shattered by the outbreak of WW1, but her relentless pursuit of freedom inspires the Dada art movement.

You HAVE to know this ‘century woman’…” -BLICK.ch

Inspired by a true story of Emmy Hennings and Hugo Ball, this novel blends years of research with lyrical storytelling to recount the origins of the DADA art movement and the female artist behind it. “What was Beautiful and Good,” is a story of love, community and embracing the illogical during tumultuous times.
